Thousands of women are waking up to Natural Cycles every day, and we love hearing their inspiring stories. This time around we had a chat with Karen from London; she tells us her Cycler Story about how it’s a simple way to stay on top of your body.
Tell us a little about yourself:
I work as a portrait and fashion photographer in the daytime, but I play around with modern calligraphy in my downtime. I dream to have my own stationery shop in the near future, but we’ll see. Currently, I’m residing in London, but I was born and raised in New Zealand. I miss home every day, but I try to make the most of my time here in London as well.
How long have you been using Natural Cycles?
I’ve been using Natural Cycles for about 10-11 months; time flies! I just like that you have more education about your own body and you get to learn it’s unique nuances and patterns. For example, cliche, but I do tend to get hyper emotional just before ovulation. My hormones are PEAKED so that I can plan (sometimes!) accordingly and tell myself that I’m acting a little out of character, not because I’m “crazy” but because my body is going through a physical change right now. Once it’s a habit as well, it’s so easy to measure your temperature. Having this data-backed understanding of your body, is incredibly powerful.
Would you recommend it to other women?
I would 100% recommend this to women and have recommended it, to the women in my life. This a simple, easy way to stay on top of your body and prevent pregnancy. To me, it doesn’t make any sense to have it any other way.
I’ve always wanted to keep track of my cycle and fertility, and this was a great way to do it. Rather than writing it out on paper, etc. this is a lot easier to maintain. I like that you can compare the data with other users. I also love how easy it is to correlate the data and access the stored data. Getting a basal thermometer included free of charge in the yearly subscription, was a nice bonus too.
A big thank you to Karen for sharing her story with us; you can check out more of our Cycler stories here.
We love hearing back from our lovely Cyclers, everyone is unique and has their story to tell. We want to give women a voice so they can inspire others to get to know their bodies with Natural Cycles too – if you want to be a part of this movement go ahead and share your Natural Cycles story with us.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Your Natural Cycles team
